Glucosamine production decreases when joints are burdened e.g. during physical activity or in the case of overweight or old individuals. It leads to osteoarthritis. Glucosamine supplementation compensates its deficiency and stimulates joint lubricant production, which is necessary to the proper functioning of all the human joints.
